About Us

We specialize in organic handcrafted wood furnishings that are creative, unique and healthy.  Our store started designing custom made natural wood furniture in 1983 in Asheville, North Carolina.  In July 2020, we moved 10 miles north to Weaverville, NC. We offer a selection of the finest woods ranging from clear maple, red oak, hickory, black walnut, cherry to ambrosia maple.  Only native and sustainable woods are used from local suppliers. We skillfully create each furniture piece with solid wood and every joint is pressure glued and fastened with countersunk bolts, covered with hardwood caps.  All of our handcrafted furnishings are made from solid wood and you will never find a piece of plastic or veneer as part of any of our furniture.  Our quality-made furniture will last you a lifetime!  In our natural finishing process, each piece is hand-sanded and lightly covered with organic oils.  After drying, it is sanded with successively finder sandpapers until smooth to the touch, and then oiled again to bring out the natural grain and color of the wood.  All of our wood furniture is made without the use of stains, varnishes or lacquers that may contain harmful toxins and irritants.
